Athletics

Saint Catherine of Siena School has an active sports program for students in fourth through eighth grades. The athletic program is an extension of the educational mission of St. Catherine of Siena School. The program enriches the life of the school community by providing for interscholastic athletic competition within a context of Gospel values.

St. Catherine of Siena School competes in many sports including: baseball, volleyball, basketball, track & field, and cheerleading. Baseball (boys) and volleyball (girls) teams compete in the fall, basketball teams compete in the winter, and the track and field team competes in the spring. The cheer team is a year round commitment for 7th and 8th grade girls.

In addition to our physical education program, students in grades kindergarten through 3rd grade are offered the opportunity to take after school basketball classes in our new parish gymnasium. Girls in all grades can participate in our summer cheer program which includes a team for each grade level. Camp participants then lead our student body in cheers at our school-wide spirit rallies.

Teams compete in the Peninsula Parishes/Schools League (PPSL), which includes parochial schools throughout San Mateo County. Click this link to find the most up to date schedule, game locations and standings.
