Enrichment Programs
Students take part in enrichment programs to provide extended learning opportunities and challenges geared towards their curriculum. Enrichment provides students with hands-on learning opportunities to study concepts with greater depth and complexity. Examples of enrichment programs include:
- Opera a la Carte
- Walk Through History
- STEM
- Hour of Code
- Spelling Bee
Field Trips
Classes go on field trips each year that offer extensions to their curriculum and community bonding experiences. Annual field trips are traditions that are remembered and valued by our students and teachers. Various classes also take part in annual spiritual retreats. Examples of past field trips include:
- Kindergarten: Lemos Farm, San Jose Discovery Museum
- 1st Grade: Elkus Ranch, Palo Alto Children’s Theatre
- 2nd Grade: County Court House, Burlingame City Hall, Marine Science Institute, Sapore
- 3rd Grade: Planetarium, Exploratorium
- 4th Grade: Gold Camp, Folger Stables, Adobe Sanchez, Woodside Store
- 5th Grade: Filoli Mansion, California Academy of Sciences
- 6th Grade: de Young Museum, Tech Interactive Museum
- 7th Grade: Caritas Creek, San Francisco
- 8th Grade: Sacramento, Monterey
